Overview of OUR Engagement Month:

It’s our third annual engagement month to date, but the first time we’ve created a hub for to find all activities and content.

 

Throughout all of February you’ll see us active on-site, at toolbox talks, and presenting at the Redfern office. This initiave is all about championing community engagement, with a focus on key areas like:

 

  • Notifications

  • Working on private property and public property

  • Functional inspections

  • Setting up project for success

 

Take a look around and get acquainted with the  space for you to keep up to date on what’s happening throughout the month and get more information on any of the themes we’re presenting this year.  

What’s on this Engagement Month?  

1. Launching the New Community Functional Inspections  

Week one's theme is about launching our brand new and improved Community Functional Inspection format. It’s our way to measure our progress and make sure everyone on site is sticking to our community engagement best practices.

 Find out what’s changed and how you can score higher and achieve better outcomes for the community.  

​

2. Setting up for Success  

What makes a project soar and what causes it to slump? This week’s theme is focused on two things: 

  • Setting up for success for our project teams in planning and delivery

  • Setting up for success for our teams on site â€‹â€‹

​

3. Notifications Crash Course & Disarming Difficult Conversations 

When it comes to construction, nobody likes to be taken by surprise.  This week’s themes are your notice to pay attention to two of our most important tools of engagement – notifications and dealing with conflict on site.

4. Legally Comms

Our final week of Engagement Month and we’re tackling some major hurdles to the finish line, in the name of the law.

Schedule of Events

Each week we will have engaging Lunch and Learn sessions taking place every Wednesday from 12.30 pm to 1.00 pm. You can join us live in the Redfern Office or participate virtually via Teams - just look for the link in your inbox every Monday.  

 

We will also be presenting community-focused toolbox talks in person at different sites across the South region, typically held on Thursday or Friday.  

 

If we’re unable to visit your site for a toolbox talk, we’ll provide a one-pager for you to share during the pre-start meeting.  

 

We’re excited for a month of meaningful conversations, shared insights, and improving the ways we work within our community!
